And the 92 degree high felt much cooler because of the low, low humidity. Winters weren't that cold in Reno; cold, yes, but no worse than a midwestern city like Kansas City. Love those mountains and Lake Tahoe is absolutely stunning. I will always hold a special place in my heart for Reno.
Uhhh. Is there a question buried in here somewhere?

Uhhh.. No. It was just my statement on Reno. Why do you ask if there is a question buried in there somewhere?

I have to say I think Reno is a much better place to raise a family. There is so much to offer in a town like Reno. I grew up in Tahoe and I had the best childhood anyone could ask for. Living in Reno is so wonderful for me because it's only a 30 minute drive to the lake. Reno has so much to offer whether it be concerts and festivals to hiking and camping. Move to Reno for sure.

The School District is like all school districts it is the teacher your child has that makes the difference.
Teachers can only succeed in a positive culture in a school district that is committed to academic excellence. The teacher isn't the only factor in a good education. Students aren't isolated in one classroom. Even with a fabulous teacher, the education can be sub standard in the school district like Washoe. Best to review the NCLB stats and state report cards for education--Washoe is less than excellent.
