Forgive me if im annoying anyone im trying to figure out how to post this bc its not saying I have but anyway.Hello I'm considering moving to Ely for this job if it all goes as planned but have a few questions. I am 24 no kids no wife lol but I am going for this job in a few weeks. If I get it I will move there and I live in Jersey now(I dont fist pump) but what is it like? hows the apartments or houses if I was going to rent for now. I know its far from anything but all I hear is negatives what are the positives? Im not a big city guy I live in the suburbs in jersey and I just want to get out lol. Whats some advice anyone can share such as good or bad things? Is it expensive and whats there to do for fun?. If someone can write me back I would be grateful.

There's not much in Ely except for mining. I was out there a few years ago and there wasn't much housing and the going rate seemed to be about $100-150k for 1000 sq ft. I don't know about rentals but it always seems like a boom or bust thing with mining. My husband has had a few friends that took their 5th wheels out there to live in while they worked.
