posters, yes, San Diego is beautiful and there's hardly a day with uncomfortable temps. I lived there 13 yrs.

However, I got sick of the left-leaning politics of SD and CA in general (sorry, Dems, no offense meant.)
Also, it's an "anti-growth" town. They don't want or encourage more growth to their town. They are content to live with a totally out-dated, small airport (Lindberg Field) to name one. They voted down moving the airport sometime in the 2000s.

And most importantly, the cost of housing is WAY too high. If you're a family man who wants to put his kids in a good school district, the choices are limited and mostly in expensive areas (private schools are the way to go, IMO.) Gangs are prevalent in the hispanic/black areas.

Yes, the climate is lovely, but i got tired of the "damp" feel of the air (especially noticeable once the sun goes down and at night.)

You probably should do some research on the Nevada school system; if you think San Diego is bad you ain't seen nothin yet

^^schools...what he said...although our private schools are probably cheaper. Homeschooling is also very easy, from the legal perspective and lack of hoops to jump through in NV.
