Hi everyone-

I've posted on here a few times, and long story short I have moved here from Wisconsin. But I am having one heck of a time finding housing. What I am looking for is a furnished studio or one bedroom apartment with a short term lease option (month to month or 3 month). If it does NOT have any utilities included I would like to stay close to $450. If it has utilities included (water, electric, cable, internet) I would be willing to go up to $530 or so. It also must have parking. Must be clean and well-kept.

Reno Regency is great as far as being furnished and utilities included, but there aren't any units left right now.

I've looked at places like The Ross and The Villager (or something like that) and with those, you have to share a bathroom/kitchen with other tenants! NOT, I repeat, N-O-T happening. That is not what I am paying rent for. Ick.

I also would like something that isn't too trashy and "ghetto" but alas, I am getting rather desperate and if it meets my above criteria I might make an exception.

Also, please, I need specific names of apartments or phone numbers to call or websites to look at. If you tell me to look in the north west part of Reno, that is not going to help me at all.

Any help anyone can give me is greatly appreciated!

1 bedroom in a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom

STUDIO FOR RENT WITH ALL UTILITIES INCLUDED

Fifth Wheel for Rent

There's Nothing You Won't Love $300 Move-In Special

1 Bedroom 1 Bath Apartment in East Reno I might think twice about this one, neighborhood sketchy

930 I St #7 Not the best neighborhood

Studio Spacious 550 SF Breakfast Bar not the best neighborhood

Fully Furnished Studio

1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom On Taylor St

This should get you started. If it isn't furnished there are toms of stuff on Craigslist, good neighborhoods would be worth some selective dumpster diving on garbage day, and look for free garage sale leftovers posted on CL usually late on Saturday.

UNR just let out, there should be a plethora of furnished studio type apartments in and around UNR BUT many that are furnished are also going to have the shared kitchen type layout.

Keep an eye on craigslist for private party rentals, generally folks who converted an apt. over their garage or a back yard guest house.

We also found when we were looking for UNR Student housing that we just drove around the neighborhoods, many of the landlords don't advertise, they just stick a for rent sign out front.

Good luck

The Belvedere @ 550 North Arlington has an ad on Craigslist for a studio @ $550 with utilities included. You can google it for the phone # if you are interested. As has already been mentioned there are always a large number of rentals on Craigslist.
