Hi. I've done the drives before with 395, 80, and 80 into 99 (just wanted to see what it was like). Does 1 have more rest stops than the other? I have a dog who needs to get out of the car every 90-120 minutes or so. I do break up the drives though with staying in Mammoth, Bishop, or Stockton though for my dog's sake.

I'm driving to LA Tuesday night (arriving Wednesday afternoon), and just want to see which has a lot more rest stops to get my dog out.

Thanks

When I travel with my dogs I rarely stop at official rest stops. I generally exit the freeway in areas that appear to be lightly populated and have an easy freeway return. I carry poop bags and clean up after my dogs who have no trouble relieving themselves anywhere that we stop and when I need a potty break I look for a fast food place, they generally have rest rooms in better repair than those in rest stops.

I doubt that either route is good for official rest stops. I'll second 2sleepy...
