the weather is awesome and over-all my impressions are very good.

saw deer downtown, while I was driving to work - they were in the crosswalk, like good citizens; noticed how bright the stars were this morning and realized there is no streetlights on my block. interesting. realized I am listening to public radio from Sacramento, which explains why I hear more California news than news from Nevada.

has some very good summer slaw from the Save Mart deli, yum.

one visit to Casino Fandango which I enjoyed & not too much cigarette smoke.

loving Nevada so far!!

Congrats Jackie for making the move and welcome! I'm also a NV newbie but am loving my decision so far. The weather, people, quality of life, restaurants, cost of living etc etc have all exceeded my expectations.

Welcome aboard. I am a fairly recently moved to the CC area myself, though I'm a N NV lifer. From the outlying counties adjacent. I like the transition. Urban convenience without such a large urban feel and lifestyle. The open sky activities I enjoy are right there, without having to drive three hours and burn a day to come in and visit DRs , good stores and such.

CC is way better than Reno/Sparks metro, hands down. For me anyway, and happy to hear thus for you as well.
