Hi...considering a move to Reno looking for part time work cutting mens hair. are there any upscale full service shops/salons that cater to men's services? any info/help is appreciated.

There are several barbers, but few are upscale. Most of the upscale salons are more women-oriented. One exception that springs to mind is Hair It Is & More. They have a location in NW Reno at the intersection of Robb & Mae Anne and one in Sparks on Vista in the D'Andrea Shopping Center.

hey thanks for the reply....i am visiting your fine city in a few weeks and i may have to take a drive over there and check out the shop. and while i am at it, maybe look into some commercial rental space and open a shop up there when i move out there. i worked at a great place in new orleans up until Katrina came by....check it out Aidan Gill for Men : Men's Grooming, Luxury Shaving Accessories, Skin Products let me know if it could fly in reno and thanks again for the response.

Don't know if you have visited the city yet. I am familiar with the Hair It Is in the northwest and it is not really a men's salon or even catering to men. There is no barber school in NV and apparently it's kind of a headache to get a NV barber's license if you are transferring from another state. Are you a barber?
