I don't know if YouTube links are allowed but if you search the title, it will pop up. It states Reno is #11 because economic decline and 39 crimes per 1000 people.

First of all, Reno is booming with new companies coming into the area and rent/housing prices is skyrocketing so it's not in economic decline. Quite the opposite!

Secondly, if you checked the city data crime stats it shows that Reno falls BELOW the national average. Making this place safer than half of all other US cities.

I don't understand how they got Reno on their list as its one of the nicest places I've ever lived. I do agree with the others (especially Stockton and Modesto, they are cray cray ghetto).

Edit: the video was uploaded a few months ago (Sept. 2016)

Usually, some low paying reporters made these lists out of whim without any rational logic or research.
Just like this list Adelaide ranked in world's top 10 cities to visit by Lonely Planet - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)
Adelaide and Riga as top ten cities to visit in the world. Seriously!

Yeah, it does give bad publicity for the city of Reno.
