Default Scorpions

Hi all, I spoke of this subject before but it's been so long ago that I can't find the thread.

Up in Northern Nevada we have scorpions of course but I was told that we don't have bark scorpions I beleive that is what I remember.

Also was told something about the sting of those up there unfortunately I didn't get a answer on whether we have the least harmful or the more harmful. Can anybody tell me please, we are headed there this summer for our move and both of us are looking forward to the move. Just need to know if I need to be extra fearful of the scorpions in the area there.

Yes, there are scorpions, but you'll probably never see one unless you look very, very hard. They can only be found way out in the desert anyway.

Hi Tressa. I think I remember that thread and I think I posted some pictures at the time it was active. I'll see if I can find it, but until then I think it was in the Las Vegas section, IIRC.

Anyway, we don't have the real bad buggers out in the dry BLM hills. You'll need to head down to Arizona for the bad ones.

ON EDIT: Click here top get to the thread I was thinking about. I don't see a post from you, so maybe you're thinking of another one. IN any case, there's some scorpion info on it.

Click here for another thread that you started. It referenced the above thread but seems to have discussed more of the mormon crickets. Is this the one you were thinking about?

Thank you all so much, Garth I remember our discussion on the critters but couldn't remember if the bad ones were noted to be in our area or not. Thanks for clarifying it I do appreciate it. We have seen quite a few black widows in our shop so far and this winter when we visited we destroyed several little spider nests so hopefully we've got rid of a few potential black spiders.
