Hello!

Anybody in the Reno/Sparks area, or even the Carson City area ever rented a house or townhouse that allow big dogs? I've looked up home rentals on realtor.com, zillow.com, and craigslist for the area that would say that 'dogs are ok with owner's approval;' and come to find out that they will not rent to someone with a dog over 30 pounds. If there is anyone on this forum that have rented before that allow dogs 50-60 pounds (or 'big' dog), please share!

Thank you,
Rachel

I have two Labs over 60lbs. They are documented companion animals - however we don't rent just anywhere with them. Try near Idlewild - I think it was called the Village or something. Or Aspen Ridge allows big dogs and has lots of grass - but lots of off leash dogs - so be careful with that. Or Manzanita Gate or The View. They don't have weight restrictions. My two cents - town homes in the Reno/Sparks area aren't worth it and aren't more quiet. We have done that - and what ends up happening is you are sandwiched between two other tenants and sound travels quite well between walls (but not as well between floors). Aspen Ridge townhouse apartment was like living in a fish bowl. Could hear everything that every tenant was doing - from coughing to sneezing and...well, much more. Our dogs couldn't stand it.
