I know that Sparks/Reno are closely grouped together, but would there be any difference as far as living in one or another. Is Sparks considered nicer overall? I am without transportation, and don't believe that would be a problem. I lived in Reno for about 6 months and then moved. Just from meeting people from all over the country, I felt that the people I met in Reno were among the friendliest...not the kind to shun outsiders. In fact there were many people from many places.
I have section 8, and would like to avoid any rough areas. I'm more laid back, not a party lifestyle.

???

I am going to bite my tongue HARD on this one.

As far as coming here on public assistance, I would advise against that, as the state has almost completely cut all welfare benefits.
