Yep, it is the same (free drinks if your playing). Only difference is you can not walk down the street and drink like Vegas.

Tell that to the numbers of people I see with their drinks, walking around.

This is what I was told by the casinos when I lived out there. What is the law on it then?

That is the law - no walking around with open containers on the streets. You will probably see people doing it, but just because someone is doing something doesn't mean it's legal.

If you're not from America just ignore it.

Also, if LVMPD got you an ambulance I have a feeling you're not remembering the whole story. Those guys deal with drunks 24/7 and wouldn't/can't call an ambulance for everyone who can't control themselves in public.

Just about any casino will serve you free drinks if you are playing. We usually will sit at the bar and play video poker, have a few free beers (well drinks are small and usually weak, they're free!), then cash out go watch the lounge act, walk around, whatever with the beer we just ordered. When we need a new one, we go back to the bar, slip in a twenty and drink a beer or two and get another and go elswhere again. If your lucky you drink for free all night and win a few bucks too. I don't make the rules, I just play by them.
