Default Homeschoolers in Reno?

Just wondering if there is a very large homeschooling community in Reno, since that is one of the options we are considering after we move there.

If so, what sort of community is it? Around here, there are different "groups" of homeschoolers who occasionally get together for a field trip or activity, but for the most part they do things independently. Perhaps it's a New England thing.

I'm interested in finding people to collaborate on curricula with, and do field trips, and do cooperative teaching on a regular basis. Any ideas? Leads? Links?

Thank you.
