Question Info needed

Hi all,

I am moving form Boston, MA to the Reno area.
I will be working at the Sierra Army Depot located in Herlong, Ca and I am thinking about living in Reno since it’s the only real city in the area.
Any suggestions where to live? I was thinking the northern side near Sparks.
TIA.

J

That will be an awful comute - 53 miles one way according to mapquest. And in the winter when it snows . . . well you get the idea.

Cold Springs or Lemmon Valley (close to the CA border) would be a little closer.

Default thanks

I hear a lot of people do it so it should not be too bad, my employees here in MA drive about 1.5 hours each way to work for me...

I second Cold Springs. There seemed like there were quite a few newer houses out that way last I checked, so it wouldn't be that bad. Plus you're not that far out of Reno, so a drive into town for whatever you need would be doable.

According to mapquest:
Cold Springs to Herlong - 39.5 miles
Cold Springs to Reno - 17.34 miles

Just a thought...
Susanville to Herlong - 36.20 miles
