Question Raising kids and kids' activities in Gardnerville/Minden area

Hi out there. My husband and I are talking about moving to the Gardnerville/Minden area for a job opportunity that has come up. We have 2 kids, ages 3 and 1, and are interested in what the area has to offer for children/moms/support. Is there a Parks and Rec Dept? Child classes? Moms' groups? Lots of parks? Playgroups? Etc? Any and all info would be greatly appreciated! I am a stay at home mom and LOVE my job, it's just a bit daunting to think of displacing our family with 2 young kids... Thanks so much for your input/ideas!

I live about 5 minutes north, in Carson City. There are tons of parks. There are a few child classes, dance, yoga, gymnastics and more. The Carson library has story time Wednesday and Thursday mornings, I'm not sure when they do that at the Douglas County library. There was a local moms group, but I think it fell apart during the summer, a lot of the kids were getting older and going to school. If you are willing to drive there is even more in Reno. My daughter is 3, so let me know how the move goes.
