Default Fernley - Public Transit

I know its a shot in the dark, but is there any in Fernley?

I want to come work amazon for the holiday. I have a vehicle, but none of the local campgrounds will let me put my truck camper (2008 model) on the ground (electric jacks, rather)... That means that I cannot use my truck to get to and from work. I thought about biking or walking, but I have heard the weather can get down right cold.

Thanks in advance!

Public transportation in Fernley sounds like the start of a funny joke, It could not take more than 15 minutes to walk from one end of town to the other.

That's kinda what I figured, but it was worth a shot. Its just that there was a possibility that I wouldn't be able to use my truck while I am working there this winter. Work would be 6 miles from where I am staying. The thought of walking 12 miles a day through snow and ice in the dark isn't too appealing.

Thanks for the confirmation.

Not much snow and ice in Fernley. It is in the desert. It can get cold, but precip tain't much.

You can ride your bike? Healthy. Stop at the wigwam for your meals.

I wish I could ride. I cannot be exposed to below freezing temps for that long. I am literally/physically allergic to the cold. Its OK though. I will be able to use my truck after all. Also, I will be doing the Amazon warehouse thing, so I imagine I will get plenty of exercise... I hope anyway

What is wigwam?

So, if there isn't much snow/ice, I wont need chains? I will be making a new post about this subject.....

Thanks again for your reply!

The Wigwam, Best breakfast house for miles around.

You will only need chains when you need them. Which in Fernley would be seldom if ever, except, once every few years there will be a freezing rain, but the roads will thaw by 8 or 9 in the morning.

Do you remember a few years ago when Amazon ran adds in which they tried to rent the Astrodome, or the Pentagon or somesuch major building? I found it a hoot that they settled in Fernley Nevada.

When you get there, be sure to drive a few miles north to Pyramid Lake, a desert wonder.
