lvbernard is on a distinguished road
Reno's weather is generally not bad -- I always liked the hot, dry summers and cool nights (great for sleeping, and I rarely had to run the AC). The snow isn't really much of a problem; only rarely in my seven years there did it make things difficult. Also, ice was rare.

As for the social climate, if you have a good job, life there will be good as well. If you've one of the many bad jobs in the town (and, believe me, Reno has PLENTY of bad work environments), then it's easy to become as bitter as many of the locals. (People often say "I love it here" but don't seem to say or even know WHY.)

i lived in nevada for years and i lived in carson city and gardnerville for 6 years, they dont get much snow but they do get it, and often it will snow maybe an inch or less then hard freeze which causes alot of accidents, i have been in one. and that is scary, but its a nice area, gardnerville is the best if you like small towns, reno is very hectic to drive in, i dont like alot of traffic. all that area gets alot of wind. but the weather is ok. i miss the carson valley very pretty.

Curious if you're familiar with the area around the CC airport? Seems to ne one of the more affordable areas of CC and I wonder of it's because people are averse to living near an airport or?
