I just noted the same thing. TKramar works nights and it's most unusual for him to post during a weekday although the resemblance between him and Picaro is/was quite uncanny.

By the way, TK, when you crawl onto CD after your night shift please cease and desist from sending me any more silly one-liner direct messages. I don't have time to figure out how to block you and have no intentions of responding to you privately so if you have something to impart please do so on the open forum so that everyone can have a chuckle. Be generous and share the joy!

Mea culpa - most unusual for TK to post AT NIGHT as that's when he works and Picaro's total 37 posts before he became "not a member" were all made today when a night shift would be over. Oh the drama of CD from time to time. Such fun to enjoy on a day off!

OK, but maybe this bozo is on vacation and that is why he is home in his trailer during the day......just something to think about....

But the 2, I believe are one and the same.

After reading five pages I see people getting rude and obnoxious. Really? This is a simple problem blown into WW3. Tennants and Property Managers have rights and responsabilities. If the intrusion problem has no end in sight then I reccomend you move at the end of your lease. You have options and live in a country that allows you to use them. Resonable time is a no brainer, maintenance works during thesetimes. Like you. No? There is a lack of cooperation on both parties. Maintenance wants to get it done and you want them to be done. Your schedule is not more important then theirs nor is your job. You both are just trying to do your jobs. I will not reply to tk remarks at they simply don't have relavence.

It's the OP's rented property, and while the maintenance CAN knock on the door (just like anyone else), the office should listen and tell maintenance not to do that because it's disturbing the tenant.

I suggest the OP write a stern letter to the apartment management.
My relative has had the same issue. But in her case her place usually looks like a bomb exploded in it, which is why she probably don't want to open the door. I would write a letter and also NOT open the door. From what I understand, landlords are supposed to give your 24 hours notice of any repairs, walk threws, etc that must be done. Just don't answer the door. My landlord had a horrible habit of just ringing my bell for now reason the first year I moved there. And I was home, and I never answered. Unless I am expecting someone, I don't answer the door, especially when I was a female living alone. She just wanted to be nosy. Eventually, she got the hint. She had my number and if it was urgent, which it never was, she could call. And like others said, yeah it may be their property, but it's YOUR apartment and you PAY rent to live there..

Management/maintenece people coming in without prior notice was my worst fear + problem because I have always put a high value on my privacy. I wound up putting a small battery operated alarm on the door and they sell these on ebay with remote control for $25. I used it to keep them out without prior notice and for peace of mind from possible break-ins and If I was ever renting again that's the 1st thing that would be installed. Even at that I would hook up a hidden nanny cam system to record what they do in my apartment when I'm not there even if they have prior notice. Where I lived they would enter everbody's apartments unannounced and I knew that because I was home during the day and would hear other neighbors talking to each other when they got home from work with some being quite upset that nobody informed them about the unnanounced visits.

I don’t agree with management giving maintenance and other outside workers a key to enter peoples apart either. I have been researching Chapter 83 of the Florida Statues and cannot find a version that is not edited. I believe that this has been going on too long and that they are getting away with too much. Talking about it is not enough, I believe its time for action. Searching the internet, I have found that there are many people all over the United States who don’t agree with maintenance entering their apartment.
