eyeshades is a good idea, I never thought of that. But ear plugs wouldn't work since I need to hear my alarm to wake up. Plus, I created this thread mostly to get opinions on how to deal with inconsiderate and selfish roommates in the future. There may be other issues besides the lights and alarm
yeah, and I let him have it his way both times. As a result, he shouldn't have showed me such a bad attitude. Also, for the alarm issue, I was simply asking why he needed the alarm to go off if he wasn't even gonna wake up. I didn't demand he turned it off. I just listened to him give his excuse and I said whatever
You have no livingroom or kitchen in your place?? How long do you have to tolerate him?
Unfortunately, this is the most common complaint there is. First time college kids find that their stuck living practically on top of someone else that they just cannot stand. It's a hard concept to swallow, but he's probably thinking you're inconsiderate for wanting it to be only your way. If you find this to be a reoccurring problem, try a single room, or moving out of dorms next year, with someone you know and like.
