It's a fact that you will encounter certain issues in apartment living and neighbor noise is one of them. Move into a house or suck it up and live with it.

something about having the right to a quiet place you're spending your money on comes to mind. if a landlord ignores your requests about the noise and it ends up turning into something big, the landlord will be looked over by the housing commission.

I've had that problem before. It's not fun. The only real way to deal with it is to live somewhere that you don't have any neighbors above you. The size of the neighbor doesn't matter either...the loudest one I ever had was a little 120 lb tweaker who lived upstairs. He would run around all night and sleep all day, like a rat.

You have got to be kidding. Walking is not considered noise and you can't dictate how someone walks.

The only way this would turn into anything big is if you got on your high horse and went upstairs and demanded that they stop walking....it would be big alright...a big ole can of whoop azz.
