do complexes HAVE to give u their corporate number? (pics of issue)
So my husband and I are in a battle royal with our apt complex we are INFESTED with roaches (pics for the non squeamish below) and we need their corporate number.. They keep giving us the number to the other complex for their regional manager, we've been trying to get a hold of her since before april 27th, never a call back and when we try to talk to her she's always "in a meeting" We are loosing everything own, we have also hired a lawyer. We are putting in a claim with their insurance company however we had to get a lawyer to do that as they refused to also give out that information. We can't even take our microwave they're all in there. We are moving in 3 weeks but still they will not give the corporate number for the insurance claim paperwork. Our lawyer is working on it but its a slow process and I was wondering if anyone knew if this was illegal for them not to. We are also getting the health dept involved. For some reason I thought they had to give it if requested.
here's a little of what we have been living with since oct... TRYING to get them to act. It makes me wanna cry even looking at these and my skin crawl its not from us but our neighbors who are disgusting hoarders.

Are you saying that up until this point you have never put the problem in writing and asked the landlordas/agent for a specific remedy and sent it to them as outlined and required in your lease and state law?
As for the corporate address, your lawyerr should knw this, but it looks like Florida law requires that the landlord/agent was to provide you the name and address of the responsible party to be served all notices. That may be in your lease or ona seperate notice . So check your paperwork and lease to see if thaey listt he address. According to Florida law, that is the address you serve all notices on and if properly served, they have been served. I;'m not sure what your trying to achieve since all you have to do is properly and legally serve the notices on whomever is listed.

we did we have been dealing with this since Oct. they bombed us once, it did not help we needed more treatment, the bug guy said this is the worst infestation he's seen in years. About two months ago the old management was fired and all new came in, we have been dealing with them now. We at that point got a lawyer (after months of fighting them to get more treatments) and after the bug guy told us we cant' take any of our furniture/belongings, it is also infested (currently sitting on our porch).

Having a telephone number is going to accomplish nothing. You have an attorney handling the situation so you seriously need to butt out and let the attorney do his or her job. Sorry to be so abrupt but you can really jam up everything if you go off on your own agenda when you're paying a professional to represent you. You've already got nowhere by handling this bass ackwards since last October so don't complicate things any more.

I'm so sorry you're going through this! I'm about to move into my apt in a month & I hope I don't have to deal w/ this! I hope you get the help you need.
BTW, those pics are disgusting! It looks odd how all the roaches are on the one part of the basket! Eeeeek!

we were DIRECTED by our attorney to attempt to get the corporate number and speak to a representative as our front office is doing nothing.. we could not get a hold of them as they refuse to give it out so have notified our lawyer as of today. My question was simply if its legal for a place to not give it out. how is that doing it backasswards? I don't think you've read the topics very well about me explaining what is going on
