Simply put; I have a lease from February 2012 It does NOT have my signature on it ANYwhere. Also it states at the top that if it was not signed by January 2012 it is not a valid lease. So how can they effectivly charge me for unpaid rent for the last two months as described in the UNsigned lease. Thank you in advance for any help.
Did you occupy? Then pay your rent or move out. It's up to you to decide whether you intended to execute the lease, occupy and pay rent. If you're just trying to skip on the rent, then shame on you.
If you occupy a property w/o a written agreement, you are considered a month to month tenant per state law and have all the obligations that go with that.
Ok, so I guess I need to step back and clarify. My sister-in-law was the one needing her house back to raise her newly expanded family. And this year I moved from an apartment where management was harassing me and it's tenant. Not to mention providing living conditions below the standards listed in the lease. I was simply asking for advice not criticism. At the end of the day I have to look out for my family. Moving from the worst apartment complex(as per the police) in the city. How can anything they sign be legal?

Your comment, "How can anything they sign be legal?", Makes no sense to me, perhaps you should clarify what you meant.
If you never signed a lease then you are a month to month tenant and can break the lease with 30 days notice. But you had better be sure you did not sign a lease, if the landlord has a signed copy then you are bound to it. It makes no difference whether you have a signed copy or not.

If you move in and lived there, then yes you owe the rent if you have not paid it.
