rents are 1700 to 2200 in the area. 1200 is not gonna help. i have to save 5k to 7k to move with first last and security

Then tell them what Kaole said. In writing, that you need $7 to move and you need 30 days. If they want you out fast maybe they'll do it.

Uh huh...and I'm sure you've read the many other posts that talk about LL's jumping right to and replacing / repairing broken appliances, etc...

The low offer is why I questioned the OP's reluctance to give them an email address. Open up the lines of communication and bargain with them. I would guess the $1200 is just an opening offer and is negotiable.

My point was: take their money and move now or give up their money and move later anyway...
