We signed a 6 page standard rental agreement in CA two years ago. When our lease expired after a year, our landlord only made a copy of the first two pages, changed the date and had us sign.
Are we bound by any of the terms that were not signed on the last four pages of the new lease? Or do the ones from the old lease carry over? For example, one of the conditions on the latter pages had to do with early termination. Since the version we did sign was two years ago and not in this new lease, does it still apply?
We are going into our 5th year in the same place. We have only ever signed a new top page at lease renewal (it states new beginning and ending dates on the new page)...everything else in the lease remains the same and carries over.
