Just because YOU have a phone with internet capability doesn't mean everyone else does. The majority of the people I know have a phone that makes phone calls. I know some folks who have the everything phones/pads/griddle/maid but most of us just have a phone. Mine has never had a text! Oh my. That's because it's a phone.
Besides, most of us prefer to put our stuff in the washer and return in time to drop it in the dryer, returning in time to prevent wrinkling.
If we can do that on vacation (we did 2 loads of laundry on the cruise ship this past week), it's not an impossible task to do.
I thought everyone's phone had the internet on it in 2013
I think the Original poster was asking about whether it was ok to remove someone else's laundry if they leave it in, not activities to do while waiting for laundry and/or what capabilities your cell phone has.
