Default looking to move

I'm looking for a new place to move to. Posibly boise Idaho. Its me and my mom and are three small dogs. We live in la right now with family. We are looking for a cheap house to rent 2 br with yard. Some where in the west. No big cities. what would you recomend the cheapest place to live in the west would be?

It seems to me that the further away from a big city you go, the cheaper things become . . . as long as it's not a resort area. So, if you're considering a place like Boise, or any other such place that meets your fancy, draw a 1/2-1 hour drive circle on the map and take a look at what shows up. It may give you cheaper rent but still allow for access to the city.

Otherwise, there's too many variables to give you a specific suggestion, from me. What about work? What kind of work and pay issues? Then there's climate, cultural, and other such preferences.

If rent cost was the only consideration, you could probably find an inexpensive rental out in an "almost" ghost town for pennies on the dollar when compared to elsewhere. However, that wouldn't be attractive for lots of people and I expect it wouldn't be attractive for your mom and you.
