Did your Family Court tell you that when you filed your case and went to the hearing?

What is, "L&I"?

If you plan on taking your landlord to court because your son "has gotten lead poison" suggest you seek proper legal counsel.

L&I is license and inspection they get called when a property is in volayion and right now my house is in violation landlord wont get rid of mic and roaches only can do but so much since I rent out a room within a house so if other ppl don't do nothing about the problem then it wont get solved don't really need legal councle that's what the tents rights counselor is for they help me with all that that's why I'm calling l&I to get the house inspected so when I go to court I'll have a better chance then she will because she doesn't do nothing to keep up with this property we tell her stuff is broken and that the house to be exterminated and she doesn't get back to us or even do anything about it its her job to exterminat not ours cause if that's the case I'll just use my rent money to get it done and cause all she do is just collect the rent and buy new cars just found out she even owes back taxses on the property too

There really is no more advice which can be given to you as you obviously have your mind made up about what you plan to do. Still at a loss to understand what your son having "lead poison" has to do with mice but ... Good luck.

OP i had the same mice problem and it was mainly because the trash room was in the basement of the building. So the only option for me was to save up my money and find a cheaper place that didn't have a trash room in the basement of the building. I know how frustrating it can be to pay rent and see mice all the time so just start researching cheaper places and see if the trash is taken outside instead of inside the building.

My trash does it get taken out we take it out and put it in the back before having to put it out on trash day I know how the mice get inhere and thats cause we have a lot of holes in the walls near the floor I've told my landlord about this a couple of times and she would say ill get somebody to come look at it but never do now I have to come out of pocket for everything and was still paying the rent in full I looked up other places but can't find no other rooms that are $275 a month but now that I know my rights and that I can either give her half of the rent or no reant all since I'm coming out of pocket almost every other week just to put down mice traps and get roach spray and I can also report her to L&I then that's what ima do untill I can find a batter place it hard when cause I lost my job due my sons health and curntly trying to get a new one

You better check those 'rights' before you withhold any rent. Read your state's landlord/tenant handbook and talk to a lawyer.. not some 'rights' group.
