Got a notice on my door 2 days ago stating I have a lease violation because my son was not listed on lease. Further says to add him or eviction proceeding will begin. Took my original lease I signed to the office with both our names me leasing him authorized occupant. She produced a lease with him not on it in their files and deleted his name and gave me a copy saying it was invalid because previous manager didn't sign but had the assistant manager sign the new one given to me. I have been hear for 2 months. His drivers license was found by a worker in an empty apartment and she called security officer to arrest him for trespassing, he worked maintenance 3 months ago there and license was lost during that time. Sorry for the long post.

Do you have a question? I'm confused. Just add him to the lease as an occupant if that's what they want you to do and then make sure you get a copy of the lease which has been signed by both parties. If your son reported his driver's license as lost or stolen that shouldn't be an issue and presumably he wasn't arrested if the police weren't involved as I don't believe security officers have powers to arrest people.

Hard to follow what the OP meant by the post. It seems the lease was not accurate and that the office is trying to make the lease official and you need to add your son.
