Some yrs back I lived in a apt complex (2 story) on the ground floor. It was okay except for the couple and one child who was constantly stomping around. I understood, as I had raised & in a HOUSE and understand kids behavior. The BIGEEEE. Had my two sons/their wives and small children over every thursday for TACO NIGHT. In the middle of the dinner someone upstairs was taking a shower and the water was BACKING UP into my kitchen sink and bathroom tub with the sink starting to overflow on to the floor. Ruined the dinner and also our appetite. Another time they ran spaggetti down the sink/disposal unit that also came up in my kitchen sink. They ate a lot of spaggetti. Later MGMT was converting into CONDOS and asked if I wanted to Buy. Hell NO! No way. Stefhen

The problem that I noticed with most 3rd floors, is that the ceilings slant because of the roof and that makes it difficult to arrange your furniture. We lived on the 2nd floor in our last apartment. It was a nightmare. The people upstairs and on the first floor were constantly making noise all hours of the day and night. The girl upstairs loved to pull out the vacuum at 10 pm. Meanwhile, my son was trying to sleep because he had school the next day. Before that we lived on the first floor and it was great. The guy upstairs was a cop, and there was a single guy on the 3rd floor. It was always very quiet. I guess it all depends on the other tenants. Some people just don't have any respect for anyone else. I expext to hear normal day time noises, especially from kids. But, when it's adults who have absolutely no respect for their neighbors, that really irks me. Plus 3rd floor rents are usually cheaper.
