I didnt change it by hand. I told them to change it then send me a new contract to sign before I sent it back. At this point, I am not going to go for the identical unit because I have no trust in them.

From the sound of your original post they are offering you an identical unit, might be easier to just try for a discount.

They just told me about it being unavailable to rent yesterday. I dont know where to find the lease law regarding the notification period. I feel that they intentionally delayed telling me the fact that the unit will not be available and try to force me to sign for a different unit on the day of.
