Reality check--if you're living in a storage unit, you're homeless. This is a very small step above living in your car or sleeping on a park bench.

I am overwhelmed with all this yesterday was the date to be out and the police showed up and told my mom to leave we have another storage to take our belongings our bills were current up to date there what can I do legally so that they are not affecting my mothers mental stability she recieves SSI and they are messing with my mom we didn't get reimbursed in order to have our things relocated I came up with enough last minute and we were in the process of moving it in the hall of unit and out to be relocated to a storage in town how can police tell us to leave we have done nothing wrong that I see does anyone know how They can tell her to leave they are wrong for this its just like letting people pay extra so they can come up on more storage auction sales so if your evicted and you can't move because u have no money they stold it from you with a contract and we payed up to date current not behind on fees how can they do this without paying u something to compensate their actions but now they are messing with a mentally disabled senior citizen who's mother recently passed on if she has a breakdown because of all this who can I sue and how do I go about it

^^^ If you were living there then what you were doing was illegal. You have no grounds for suing anyone for compensation, you were given notice to leave and if your mother is unable to find accommodation she needs to contact your local Department of Human Services to get that sorted out. She's probably eligible for Section 8 housing.

I refuse to read any of that until you learn what a period and a paragraph is.

Destany 420,

This might be a fraudulent company. Read the contract you signed closely. I wish I had solid advice for you, but I don't. If I were you, I would call the police on them & make it clear they have accused you falsely & have stolen your money & ask the police officer what evidence they have against you & with whom to file a complaint, possibly with the better business bureau. Feel free to post an update & include your location & if I have an idea of how to help, I'll post again.

Destany 420,

if you decide to call the police, be sure to show them a receipt showing you are paid up until October.

Based on the title of this thread and what the poster has said, it seems that he and his mother were living in the storage unit(s) which is illegal and which is why they were forced to move from the premises. The police will not get involved any more as this is a civil matter.

And your point? Why are you quoting my posts from over three years ago?
