How was it broken? Btw I have never broken a shower handle. Plastic or metal.

How as in the physical break of the knob. Stripped splines? (That means the knob was twisted beyond its closed position.
Break in the center? Even all the way around? Faulty knob. Broken at a angle with a bend? Side to side applied force.

Can you post a pic of the break

Depends what cause the knob to break! It can be carelessness or bad manufacturing like a lemon knob.
