A cautionary tale if you are considering renting out a property and can't inspect it regularly (and I personally wouldn't trust a property manager either --)

What's crazy is that some places allow you to grow your own for recreation while nationally the DEA has weed classified as a Class 1 narcotic in the same category as heroin and the strongest painkillers.

Quite few states have legalized medical marijuana. But some have also legalized recreational marijuana.

And recreational marijuana is legalized because voters in those states wanted it.

Clearly you know nothing about marijuana politics.

Back to topic - I agree, there are probably quite a few folks growing marijuana who either don't understand or don't care about the potential for damage. But that can be true of serious houseplant growers too!

Not exactly a new threat, meth labs were a problem before and still are now. I'm hoping to get out of the landlord game eventually, or maybe buy a hotel. Liberal states protect deadbeat tenants.

Yep, I agree, it's pretty crazy that the DEA has it classed that way!

I don't even smoke (didn't even use it when I was doing chemo), but even I know that's dumb

I don't either, I hate smoking, be it cigarette or even vaping, and I hate the smell of weed but it's not in the same category as the strongest drugs.

I don't think it should even be criminalized, but if I were a LL I would not want it grown in my house.

You sure about that? They're selling weed at Target?

That's certainly not the case in the three states on the west coast, where this all started.
