I hope you realize that you are still responsible for any damage you cause. Sure Deposit doesn't pay for that.

All Sure Deposit does is allow you to move in with less money.

Make sure you document any flaws, no matter how insignificant of the apartment when you move in. Scratch on kitchen cupboard, one tile has a small crack in bathroom, small flaw in carpet, candle wax on carpet, how clean it was, or not when you moved in, missing screen, write up list of flaws, keep a copy and send apartment management a copy. Check every square inch, even in closets. Pictures of everything that you could possibly be blamed for when you move out. Keep it in a safe place. Don't throw away until months and months after you move out. Oh, and demand a walk through with apartment when you move out, and take more pictures.

They want first months and 2 months deposit?

I know some states allow first month, last month plus deposit, but i never heard of 2 months deposit.

OP is in CT, 2 months security plus 1 month rent is the most that an owner can ask for per state law, assuming OP is under 62 years old. Most landlord clients that I work request that
