Unreasonable Rules and No Lease In Sight. (house, fees, illegal)

To start things off I will state that I am in Texas. I moved in with a sibling of my partner and have found that things are becoming tense between me and her.
- she goes into the room I am renting without asking
- I have not been given an official lease to sign
- she is adding new rules to the house suddenly including late fees and things we haven't discussed
- she utilizes my property in ways I did not intend to be used (for example a decorative pillow became her dogs pillow)

Since I have not signed a lease can I leave. Am I obligated to pay any late fees and can she still impose rules on me without any notice and or go into my personal living space without permission?

The main problem is that we never talk face to face and she complains to me or demands things from me over text messages. This leaves wide holes and a lack of actual communication as when I say something she takes it as back talking. She also has made empty threats to kick me out. I'm at my wits end, my partner is at wits end, and their sibling is at their wits end. No one wants to talk to each other and everyone wants to get mad.

I also have my suspicion that she is also using and abusing illegal substances from the smell that seems to be in the house at late hours or random hours of the day.

Which makes you a housemate of some sort ...and NOT an actual tenant.

thank you for the reply I will most likely be looking for some place else to live if things don't settle down. woke up this morning to see that she cut one my dogs toys in half for her dog and I don't know where the other half is since the top part was in his dog bed.

She sounds unreasonably and intrusive. I would find a different place to live. But that won't be easy with a dog of your own. Good luck.
