Hello,
hope you are all fine,so 2018 I was blessed to be among the few Kenyans who got selected to proceed with the green card process.Unfortunately me and my family [included applicants] were not able to attend for the interview due to lack of funds. We were shocked after learning how expensive the visa and medical fee for DV applicant is now days. Also this surprise came when we were financially unstable-Life sometimes though!
Now 2019 is here and my prayer is that things will work out before September being the deadline.Am here to get any advice from you guys and if any of you had faced the same challenge, kindly let me know how you handled it. It has been a learning experience though friends and families are not supporting this idea in any way not even lending the money

Wrong forum. This has nothing to do with real estate or renting.

Maybe you can apply to some international charities for help with the funding.

If you can't afford a medical exam what did you expect to live on after you moved...... considering, you probably don't have the money for a plane ticket for yourself and family.

America is an expensive place to live and good paying jobs aren't easy to come by.

To make this about renting, you won't be able to rent a place to live without deposit money and proof of income.

+1. No one in the USA is ever denied housing, medical care or food. Some are even given free haircuts/styling, a vehicle, and car insurance.

I don't think he has a green card yet. He said he was "selected to proceed with the process". I'm assuming that means something like he's eligible to apply for a green card. But, he doesn't have the money for the various aspects of applying.

I'd say he's S.O.L.
