We found a home in the new city we're moving to. The price and location were just right. After filling out the application and deposit, we're told that the price of the home is more than what's advertised. Even as I type this, the home is still listed at the price we applied for and not the higher price. Since it's the property mgmt's mistake, shouldn't they allow us to move forward at the price they advertised?

If you do move forward at the lower price make sure you get a 1 yr lease or they will raise the rent next month.

The bigger companies that are into rentals do play their games.. Watch out.. They have also been known to sign you up for an apt at a differant address, other than what you thought it was. Did you not verify the rent $ amount before you signed the lease or the application? There is no way they will let you rent for less than advertised. You should have confirmed the rent amount with them befor you signed anything. Like at the first meeting when you looked at the rental.
