I'm curious for some info here.

I recently found a good sublet. It is at a university, and the girl I'm subletting from was to be on an intership for the summer. She pays $470 for her share of the rent but to move the place I'm only paying $400.

I'm a pretty easy going guy so I'm willing to put up with just about anything (and hence this will likely not be a problem as I'm willing to flex)

anyway, long story short, she got turned down for her intership, but I've already paid for the rent. She has made alternate plans (to stay with her boyfriend) so it should all work out, but I'm curious what would have happened if it did not - what would the law say etc?
