Can a landlord make you give up your apt. if you are on rental assistance and you and your husband need to go out of town to work for two months.

Not if the rent is being paid and you have a lease. The lease is the key. the LL cannot make you live in the apartment. You can pay the rent and live elsewhere if you want. If you are going out of town for 2 months, that is NOT the LL's business. If the Ll agreed to rent assistance or there are changes in the assistance being paid, thaqt may create problems. If the rent is paid and paid on time...no problem.

No way! not if you are in a rental agreement and have caused no issues with all monies paid!
