Im looking to rent for a year a pool home and am finding there are a ton of different options. Ive never rented before, always owning up north.
Can anyone tell me if there is flexibility on making offers just as there is with making an offer to purchase? And if ther is flexibility what is the range fo a reasonable offer?
For example, if someone is offering a home for rent for $2200 - would it be unreasonable to offer $2000?
At this time of the year it is much easier to negoitiate the rent of a pool home. In the summer pool homes rent quickly and there is less flexibility in the price. I am a realtor listing rentals as well.
It wouldn't be unreasonable, but be prepared to be turned down. It's just going to depend on the landlord, if they "need" to rent the home, and if they like you as a potential tenant.
Being a full time landlord I would say yes go for it I have a couple of houses that I have taken less then what I was asking for. A word of caution there are a lot of people that are losing the house and collect rent and never pay the note and it does not matter if it’s a management company or not. You will come home one day with the locks changed
