Thanks, Ultrarunner, for replying. There are two 2-bedroom units available; I have one already and the other one is already rented as well (but I get first pick as to which one I want! ) This is already a good deal; I don't think I could have found anything better. I think I may end up paying double rent for a few days. *sigh* On my 30 days' notice that I mailed today, I asked if I could vacate earlier. We'll see if the owner even calls me. Argh.

I guess since you wouldn't want them to tell you on a month to month that you have to move next week ;you have to make accommdations also.

I've abided by the letter of the law; I was just hoping the landlord would let me go a little early, so I didn't have to pay double rent for twelve days. I'm lucky that I can afford to pay it; how do the people who can't afford it handle double rent?
