You know who these people are but you can't identify them?

You see eggs on the roof on a security camera film but you can't see their faces?

They were testing to see if your security camera was a motion detector type or just a regular constantly-tape kind?

Please see a psychiatrist pronto. If you're poor, go to a state hospital and they will treat you for free.

I believe you, Josh.

You need to get your anxiety under control and the only way to do that is to talk to a specialist about it. Make an appointment, please, with a therapist.

I disagree with the others regarding the restraining order. I think you have other options. Have you recorded these sounds? The tapping and the banging during the night? If you have a video camera you can record the noises and show a clock with the time. If you haven't been writing down the details of each incident, start today! Every incident!! This is how you develop proof of what is happening. If the property manager is still driving by in his red truck, try to video tape him in the act. You said you are healthy except for your BP - can you get on your roof? Place booby-traps on the roof. It can be as simple as empty tin cans or bottles. Spread tacks (you've marked for ID) on the roof - even if the tacks don't hurt them, if the police find a suspect and he has your tacks embedded in the soles of his shoes - that's proof. Buy some steel ball bearings and spread them on the roof - someone steps on one in the dark and believe me, they will land flat on their butt. Do you have a porch light? Make it a motion-detecting light. You mentioned there's an area a person could use to get up on your roof. Block the area off. Make it difficult to use that area. Next, get a sign that reads: I have a Gun and I'm not afraid to use it! and put it in a window near the front door. I'm sure you can think of similiar things to do to make yourself feel better protected.
Right now, you see yourself as a victim at the mercy of these people. You need to change your perspective on this situation. I haven't read your old lease but I've never heard or read a clause stating 'if you threaten to call the police if the neighbor boy again deliberately opens your door to entice your indoor cat to go outside' you will be breaking your lease!! STOP apologizing!! You didn't do anything wrong plus it shows your weakness. People who like to harass and bully others, especially a senior like yourself, are cowards. Keep your video camera close at hand and remember to use it to record each incident.
Last, I do agree with the others about seeking counseling, not just to help you cope with your present circumstances. A good therapist can help you gain insight into why this is happening to you and give you coping tools and skills to deal with your anxiety, lonliness in a new city, etc. They can also help you make plans for the rest of your life. What kind of work do you want to do? Do you want to go back to school? Maybe find a hobby, like painting or gardening. Put more joy in your life and let go of your fears. Good Luck to you! May you find the peace you want and deserve!!

I don't own the property so I can't do anything. The owner doesn't care nor does anybody else. Gues this is what NC is all about. I've never been more unhappy since I moved to this state. The people here are the most unhappy I've ever dealt with. And no, I can't get on the roof. The maintanence dept NOT on my roof, however, he is the mastermind. He has a full time job at another apartment complex. Please read this Thread from the beginning to fully understand what is happening rather than post a reply that has already been answered. I'm tired of repeating myself. I don't plan to read this Thread anymore accept to reply to one other post from someone who obviously did not read it from the beginning.

I was hoping for some good ideas to help me put a stop to this. Thanks to those of you who tried to help.

No, I do NOT know who the people are on my roof. I just know who put them up to it. READ THE WHOLE Thread!

They are throwing the eggs from behind the camera. The camera does NOT capture the whole roof anyway. Do you really think they are going to sit in front of the camera so I can see their faces. Get real! Would you try to get caught if you were up to no good??? You would make a terrible criminal, and that's a good thing.

My doctor told me on Monday I DON'T need a psychiatrist. He read my letter to the owners and knows what's happening to me is the truth. My cat also hears everything and stars at the exact place the sounds are coming from. Her puplis dilate and she keeps starring at the same area until she feels safe. That's what cats do. She is turning into a different cat, not the same loving cat as she used to be. She too is having a hard time with all of the tapping and especially the banging. But I am going to see a counselor to help me better cope with my situation and not because I'm crazy. If anybody is crazy its the nuts doing this to me. And the sad thing about it is that they are enjoying every moment.

You have proof someone was on your roof they waved their hand in front
of the camera. Police do finger printing, the rail around the porch and roof
area could get some finger prints. If the offender has a criminal record.
his prints are on file.

I had someone come through my sliding glass door in the apartment,
the police finger printed, I didn't need to ask the officer either, thats their job,
and a feather in their cap, after questioning and arrest.

How far is your closes neighbhor? Could you put the camera in his place and zoom in on your roof? I know you said money is a problem but maybe you can find a video baby monitor. They work in the dark. Do you have a tree or something to hide it in. I use one for my kids.

I purchased a security camera so if they got on the roof I would see them. Since they are watching me and the home I live in all the time I know they saw the person putting it on the roof. Now they are going under the mobile home by lifting up the skirt around it and banging at all hours of the day. By the time I'm able to get outside they are gone in a flash. My cat and I are ready to have a nervous breakdown! I'm a complete mess.

The trouble is they get up on the roof in 3 seconds and can jump off in 1 second, which was already proved by a 27 year old man who works for the owner and lives nearby. I'm in my 60's and would never to able to catch them and hold them at bay.
In your very first post, you said you already had a security camera, but since they discovered it they were getting under the mobile home. Why did you put a second camera on the roof, but not aim it to cover the part of the roof you didn't cover? And according to your story, they weren't on the roof anymore anyway.

I'm thinking more and more this is a troll. The story doesn't stay the same.

The first quote of the OP you posted is different from her new post.
Certainly is starting to seem trollish to me too now.
Oh well.
