I have a problem! I am trying to get into a new place, but just found out that there are two evictions on my credit report. The problem is that we were served with the summons to go to court, but paid our rent to the landlord before the court date, therefore stopping the eviction process. How can this still go on my credit report showing that we owe this money, when in reality the money owed was paid before ever actually going to court? By law, can a landlord report an eviction to the credit bureaus even though we were never actually evicted???
Hi so I've been living in a place for two years where the landlord has allowed me to not pay rent for two years and now i moved out on the 1st of this month and gave my 30 day notice and turned in my keys and he has now attempted to file for eviction how can that be when I'm no longer living there
