I have my doubts he'd do this, I thought about the suggestion,
he rented to friends

He did not rent to friends, you and STT need to go and reread the OP's posts a little slower this time lol

Thanks...will do. I am having someone drive by there today and check on things through the window, to see if there are signs of activity or electricity. I live 50 miles away, so not quite as easy. I believe all the notices are on the door still, which leads me to believe that they may have just taken off, and abandoned their things. Perhaps the furniture wasn't theirs.
I will deff. let you know how this plays out. Thanks for the advice

Welcome to my mom's world with the exception that our tenants do this as a living.
Your post totally cracked me up; I've experienced the same trying to deal with our tenants, who claim they "own" the house....
Keep us posted; my mom's eviction hearing is next week; I just might have to show up in court myself.

It's not perjury. Perjury is lying under oath in a court of law.

I didn't say he rented to friends; maybe YOU need to go and actually READ my posts. Someone else said he rented to friends, and I merely remarked that anyone who would do this is not a friend.
So harrumph on you

That would be me, for some reason, I was under this impression from the post.
OP seems to be making some headway.

It wasn't clear, but I think that it's the tenant waiting to go IN that is the friend.

Yes, the person waiting to go is my friend.
He is going up today to check things out, as they said they would be out by today to the Sheriff. I have my doubts, so next steps is submitting the paper work to the courts to get the order to the Sheriff. That's 1st thing in the AM. The official 3 day notice was up on Thursday, so we gave them until today to move as they said. (weekends do not count)
Thanks for all your posts. Some of you make me laugh, and I am glad I am not the only one who has been in this situation. I agree with Ladywithafan that these people do this as a living and know their way around the system; not their first time at the rodeo!
Your'e right MC, perjury is lying under oath. You would think lying to the sheriff, would be the same thing, but again, not dealing with "normal" people here. It's scarey, because they are unpredicable.
Thanks for all your followings on this one!

They are out!!
THEY ARE OUT! I went back Sunday, and they were gone. Surprisingly enough they even cleaned, and repaired a few things. I was in shock! They did leave a souvineer witches hat from Halloween on the counter for me. lol
Thanks for everyone's advice, and it turned out better than expected.
