Based on Square footage my homes rent between 85 cents and $1.40 a square foot in and around Oakland CA...

$1028 a month to include heat and gas for 480 sq ft studio. Also includes an offstreet parking spot. This is in Weehawken right next to NYC.

A house, little under 1000 square feet, 3 bedroom 1 bath on the central coast of California right next to a big nature preserve. I can hear the ocean from my backyard $1100 a month, no utilities included.
