Help with German Roach problem
Hi I have a 4plex that I just bought which has a small roach problem.
We are in aptment 1 cleaning it and noticed a few roaches once in a while. We killed about 10 but saw around 20 other through a few days of demolition work. We found them in all rooms, mainly kitchen, bathroom, and along the carpet borders when we teared that out.
We had a professional (Terminex) come to spray the building and he could only find one through baiting and none more in the other apartments. So hopefully its not to big of a problem. The 3 other apartment owners are pretty clean people. The tenants that lived in apartment one where I will now be living where really messy and the professional thinks they brought them.
Anyone have any advice from experience?

Make sure the entire building has been treated. You don't have to see them to have them. they will hide in the walls. If you treat one area, they will run into another area. The best thing to do is treat all the building at once.

Mannnn, I hate those little suckers! I just bought a condo in a 10 unit building and we are doing a renovation. Was going to refinish the kitchen cabinets but when we pulled off the countertops & saw all the roach nests, we pull them out, too. We have pulled off all the moulding (replacing with crown & thick floor) and with all the exposed areas, especially along the floor boards, we are dusting with boric acid before we put on the new mouldings. Sure hope that helps. The condo HOA says they treat the building every 3 months but we have seen some live bugs.....EweeeeW!

Comprehensive attack will eventually get them...
A Pest Control Operator friend said the simplest and most effective is Boric Acid Powder... the problem is that it takes time.
Raid and the others kill on contact... Boric Acid is a powder that must be ingested to work.
At one time, I was working on renovating a 4 plex my clients bought... it had a roach problem... I put down Boric Acid (Roach Proof) in the walls, under the cabinets, behind the range and refrigerator... after a couple of weeks... no more roaches... and it stayed that way for the 3 years I continued to manage...

I always put down boric acid in every apartment in every building when a unit is vacated. I never have a roach problem. I always put it behind cabinets, stove, refrigerator and even in utility closets. Anywhere that is not exposed. I let the tenants knwo it is there and I explain what the powder is. I've not had any complaints about the powder or roaches.

Boric Acid FTW!!!!!
Your building may have roaches but if you put this stuff down in your apartment area you will be all good!
