It is not my car but up in Chicagoland a relative got a quote for this from a gm dealer.
It appears the entire "system" needs to be replaced. The only thing noticed by driver is a slight noise and a bit sluggish response. Now if I look online aftermarket parts would be about $600 and bolt on so what would be a reasonable price from an independent shop? Also, I don't have the diagram so what could I be missing on this? Any advice appreciated. Probably lucky it lasted as long as it has but only 110k miles.
This ended well. Independent place realized that not everything needed to be replaced.
So it was done much cheaper and owner is now happy. thanks
