The G8 is actually unrelated to GM's North American products.
It's based on the Australian Holden Commodore. Nice car.

Yes it is! And it shows what happens when you don't have to design around as many gov. regulations as the US does, however this one was designed to meet them. The Aussie's get better interior materials than us. I noticed that with the new Monaro (Pontiac badged it as a gto).
RWD, ok on size, (although I'd like it to be larger and actuly have a noticible trunk, but I have the same complaint about the Chysler 300 too).
These are desent compacts/ small mid sized cars (altho in todays wacked world they claim they are almost full size!)
