It's horrible! Soooo many of the commercials are anymore. I try not to watch them. I have to wonder about the "creative" minds that come up with such rubbish. It is a shame to hear all our old hits used in some lame commercials. Most of the younger generations don't even know where the lyrics come from. Is there no longer any originality? And to think that you have to explain to children what ED is? And do we really need to hear about diarrhea, hemmorroids, condoms and tampons on tv? Good lord......

I want to know why some of these viagra adds end with the man and woman sitting in separate bath tubs. What is that suppose to symbolize? I always roar when I see this and jokingly say to my husband "That's what we are doing wrong".

I was thinking I hated it...but then I started singing it and I got to thinking, I take all of these surveys where they ask me about this advertising slogan and that advertising slogan and I can't remember what product goes with which ad. I remember this one. I can sing "the jingle" and if more commercials went back to using jingles, maybe I'd remember their products, too.

Default How to Avoid Irritating Commercials (Is there any other?)

Hooray for the "mute" button on remote controls!!! One of the best inventions of modern times!

I would fire the person who approved this ad. So tasteless. These medical issues are of a personal nature and should only be discussed between the patient, their partner and their physician. I personally think Sen. Dole should be ashamed of himself for being their spokeperson. Guess everyone has a price. This latest one however is the worst.

I agree. I cringe when these commericals come on TV. They are so very gauche.

Your post made me smile....the bathtubs are a source of many jokes at our house too...I'd love to know the reasoning behind this visual...must be missing something!

That's why we have a dvr. We record most of what we want to watch (which isn't much!) and skip the commercials.

I use to love tv in the 80's and early/mid 90's....now, I just can't watch it anymore. What's happened to real tv?

I think the drug ads, "ED", etc should be banned, simply out of taste and common decency.

If you go to a concert, or play, you don't have to hear such annoying commercials. Or at least you know what you're getting into, you know what to expect (i.e. you wouldn't bring a small child to a wild concert).

Movie ads aren't nearly as bad. Some billboards can be racy I guess, but they don't have the same "child stumbling upon it" factor that drug ads, ED, have. Or ads in a supermarket or something.

I think they're even on Larry King at 6 pm. TV sure has turned into a race to the bottom.
