My husband and I both were born in So. California - he has lived here most of his life and I have lived here all of my life. We are very tired of the traffic, air pollution and crime, but we love all the services, variety of doctors and hospitals, the multitude of ethnic restaurants and wonderful shopping.

So, we are moving to a suburb of Louisville, Kentucky next year when my husband retires - we will live in what appears to be a semi-rural area but is no more than 20 minutes from down town and 5 miles from good services (15 minutes from a nice shopping center). It would be a hard transition for us city folks to live where we don't have close access to good doctors/hospitals, shopping, airport, etc.
